Team Building at BTA

Last week our team of psychologists took our players to an escape room as another way to work on their team building skills as well as problem solving. Here’s how our psychologists view the value of such a type of experience:

“Last Thursday it was impossible to practice on courts, because of the storm, so we decided to train other things than tennis, following the spirit of our academy, to train more than tennis and build a small family and the perfect group climate to develop as players and persons. Then it was time to socialise and work together under pressure and against frustration, but trying to enjoy it the most … like day-to-day fight on a tennis court, right? But this time as a team and through the escape room experience looking to improve interpersonal relationships.

Escape rooms are designed to enhance teamwork in a fun way for their dynamic nature and entertaining themes. In addition, these activities require logic and ingenuity to resolve different situations to escape from a house with different rooms by solving challenges and tasks in less than 60 minutes.

To escape, the team must use skills such as leadership, teamwork, communication and empathy among their team members. As the team must be cohesive to solve the case, the members will admit their mistakes and will be able to see the situation from the perspective of the other.

Thanks to Sala Enigma Castelldefels for that experience.”
