BTA Player of March

Every month our BTA team singles out the Player of the Month, which is our way of distinguishing a given tennis player’s attitude, effort and receptivity to our coaching feedback.
For the month of March, all of us have decided to reward Candice, our 16-year-old annual player from Luxembourg.

Resilience

Candice had some difficult losses in tournaments but has always bounced back, showing great attitude during the training sessions. It is a very professional approach, showing signs of her mental toughness.

Openness for feedback
When our coaches share with her some technical feedback, we can see that immediately she applies it to her training, makes all the necessary adjustments and sticks to it on the following days. Listening skills and willingness to readjust are marks of great learning skills.
Importantly, when we try to work on new things and put in effort, we build positive energy.

Outstanding preparation
Before her on-court trainings, she warms up in the gym and goes over a list of daily goals she would like to focus on. Such an approach indicates her focus and willingness to consistently improve.

Daily effort
Our coaches highlight her increasing concentration from session to session and readiness to give out more each time around. She always arrives to practice before time. Now that we shifted to online mental trainings, her attitude remains the same. She is as dedicated to her online work as to her on-court trainings.

Positive outlook
What also needs emphasis is her positive attitude. Candice has a great sense of humour and can always find reasons for laughing, even when she goes through more difficult moments.

Excellent effort, Candice! Many congratulations from all of us!
