Preseason at our Tennis Academy

The beginning of January marks the start of a preseason at our tennis academy.

The preseason normally lasts about 4 weeks, which precede the onset of a series of tournaments for our players.

It is time dedicated to intense work on physical conditioning to prepare the players for their oncoming matches.

Some of our players will be travelling to tournaments in Mallorca, Tunisia and Turkey. Others will be playing local Federation tournaments.

We want them all to start the new year with intensity and ready to perform at their optimal level.

In preseason fitness training our coaches continue to work on players’ anaerobic power and capacity and sprint ability. In addition, players work on their upper and lower body strengthening. However, the volume of work and frequency of sessions are increased.

In the video our fitness team is working with players on their upper body strength.
